Take the Money

I thought this was awesome. Fox News had a special guest, Toby Slough, the pastor of Cross Timbers Church, in Argyle, TX. The recession brought out the need to teach their members to "take the money" to be receivers as well as givers, to release them to receive money, by taking it out of the plate. This has released people to give more so that others are directly helped and for receivers not to feel shamed. He said you cannot out give God and that the church is suppose to be in the business of meeting the needs of the people. I don't know how they keep up with figures, but they have give back a 1/2 million so far. The building needs continue to be met, it's just not the focus for the giving.

I praise God that there are those who oversee the building structure that realize the real purpose for the $$ received.
